The governor of Cross River state Ben Ayade, has redeemed his N10million naira pledge to the Council of Imams for their prayers for his victory during the 2015 governorship elections and at the Supreme Court in 2016, Daily Trust reports.
The developmemt was disclosed by Major Kabiru Ibrahim Sa’ad, the chairman of the Council of Imams and Scholars in the state, during a chat with newsmen.

He stated: “The governor has now redeemed the pledge he made to our council for the intensive prayers we all said which enabled him to come out victorious in the gubernatorial election of 2015 and at the Supreme Court, and we are very grateful to him.”
According to Sa’ad, the council would continue to pray for the governor and for president Muhammadu Buhari.
