- Labaran Maku called for equal opportunites for all Nigerian citizens and noted that there is too much desperation among youths in the country

- Maku also noted that he could not have been offered a ministerial slot by the group because he belongs to APGA; a national party and he comes from Nassarawa state
Labaran Maku, Nigeria’s former minister of information has vehemently denied knowing the pro-Biafran group Biafra Zionist Federation, and turned down its ministerial offer.
According to reports, Mr.Maku had been named by as aviation minister by the group for its self-declared Republic of Biafra.

NAIJ.com gathers than during a chat with newsmen in Abuja, the nation’s capital, the former minister stressed that he remains committed to Nigeria’s unity.
The former minister called for equal opportunities for everyone in Nigeria, and for truth to heal the country.
He noted that Nigerian youths are confused and desperate, and stated that the country was lacking justice, structure and leadership.
According to the ex-minister, Nigerian youths need counselling.
He stated: “They are victims of the failure of leadership and structural deficiency.”

Recall that NAIJ.com previously reported that pro-Biafra movement announced the formation of an interim government to run the affairs of ‘Biafra’.
The group also declared their split form Nigeria’s south-east region.
This was made known at a press conference in Enugu by Barr. Benjamin Onwuka who proclaimed himself president of Biafra.
