The counsel to the plaintiff, Jubrin Okutekpa, had notified the court that President Buhari had voiced his rejection of the one-year extension and urged it to expedite hearing of the suit so as to promptly reverse the illegal tenure extension
The APC however through its lawyer, Joseph Daudu, said the president was entitled to his opinion.
He said: “As far as President Buhari’s view is concerned, it carries no weight until the party meets and decide and deliberate on it. As far as the party is concerned, he is an ordinary member like others.”
