Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been described by the ruling party, as a front-line politician who built lasting political bridges and alliances across divides in the country, Vanguard reports.
The party made the comments in a statement released by its national publicity secretary, Malam Bolaji Abdulahi, on Wednesday, March 28, as it felicitated with the national leader, ahead of his 66th birthday.

NAIJ.com gathers that Abdulahi lauded Tinubu for his contributions towards consolidating democracy in Nigeria.
The statement read in part: “We attest to Tinubu’s progressive and patriotic contributions toward efforts to deepen democracy and ensure good governance in the country.
“As national leader of our great party, APC, we particularly reference his contributions to our growth and electoral successes.”
Abdulahi wished Tinubu many more fulfilled and happy years, and assured him of the party’s leadership support to enable him succeed in the task of reconciling aggrieved members.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was born on March 29, 1952, in Lagos state.
Before going to the USA to study at Richard J. Daley College in Chicago, Illinois, and then at Chicago State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting in 1979, the APC chieftain had attended St. John’s Primary School, Aroloya, Lagos and Children’s Home School in Ibadan, Oyo state.
In addition to being the Asiwaju of Lagos state and APC national leader, Tinubu is also the Jagaban of Borgu Kingdom in Niger state.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that Senator Bola Tinubu, on Tuesday, March 27, said that President Muhammadu Buhari, by kicking against elongation of the tenure of the APC National Working Commitee (NWC), was steering the party back to the correct path.
Tinubu said this in a statement released by his Media Officer, Tunde Rahman, in Lagos.
President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier on Tuesday, advised the party to dump the elongation of the tenure of National and State Executive Officers of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
