Troops deployed on Exercise Ayem Akpatuma while on patrol recovered arms abandoned by armed bandits in Taraba state.
According to a statement sent to NAIJ.com by the director army public relations, Brigadier-General Texas Chukwu, the recovery was made in Donga, Donga local government area of the state.

The statement noted that the bandits fled the area on sighting the troops advancing towards them.
Items recovered include:
1. One AK 47 rifle
2. Two magazines and
3. Twelve (12) rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition
The statement advised members of the public to cooperate with the security agents by reporting any suspicious activities in the area for prompt action.

The army had earlier declared five suspects wanted for the crisis in the state.
The suspects were declared wanted for their alleged roles in the killings in Takum local government area in particular and Taraba state in general.
