The Super Eagles under Gernot Rohr tasted defeat against Serbia for the second time since he took over as coach in 2016.
It was a sweet victory for the Serbians as they deservedly got the win, and were the better side on the night at the The Hive stadium in London.
The Nigerian side were contained in the match, and for the second consecutive match the Super Eagles did not function as a unit.
Here are five things we learnt in the Serbia game
1. Super Eagles played the same way they did against Poland
The Nigerian side did not play as an organized side when they had a narrow 1-0 against Poland in the first warm up friendly.

The pattern of play was repeated in the Serbia match as there was no commanding presence in the midfield and central defence which made the attack lack services.
It was just a show of individual skills fom Victor Moses, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi and likes, was all to no avail as it affected the final third.
2. Mitrovic's constant threat in the attack
The physical strength of the 23-year-old was too hot to handle for Chigozie Awaziem and William Troost-Ekong in defence as he often troubled the Nigeria with his aerial presence too.
The Fulham striker forced a couple of saves from Francis Uzoho but netted a brace in the second half as he was at the right place and at the right time to score two similar strikes.

3. They played a against a superior midfield
Manchester United's Nemanja Matic and Southampton's Dusan Tadic were the men calling the shots in the Serbian midfield against the likes of Wilfried Ndidi, ogenyi Onazi and Joel Obi.
Both Serbs had a hand in both goals as the build up from the defence to the midfield created the openings in the Super Eagles defence on several occasions.
4. Mikel Obi's absence still a concern
Nigeria played without their inspirational captain as the slack in the midfield became obvious, there was no leadership in the team.
If Mikel gets injured at the World Cup then his pivotal role in the midfield could collapse which could be disastrous for the one of the promising teams at the Mundial.
5. Porous defence
Leon Balogun and Shehu Abdulahi presence were felt in the wing -back and the Central defensive areas.
The Serbians took advantage of the loop holes in the these key areas as they made more attacking threats through the disadvantaged departments.
