President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Ghana ahead of the country’s 61st independence anniversary celebration.
The president landed at the Kotoka International Airport, Accra on Monday, March 5.

The president was received by President Akufo Addo of Ghana and some members are his cabinet.
President Buhari made the trip to Ghana shortly after his visit to Taraba to carry out a security assessment of the situation the state.
Meanwhile, President Buhari said that the number of persons killed in herdsmen and farmers clashes and other violent attacks in Mambilla plateau, Sardauna local government area of Taraba state, is more than those killed in Zamfara and Benue states combined.

Premium Times reports that while speaking in Jalingo on Monday, on Monday, March 5, during a meeting between the Fulani and Mambilla ethnic groups, Buhari said "he has a way of gathering his own information on all the crises and killings in the country.”
NAIJ.com gathered that the president, who said he was in the state to condole with the government and those who lost their loved ones, described attacks and shedding of blood as unfortunate.
