- Brendan Rodgers believes he can get Arsenal back to the Champions League if appointed as the next coach
- Current Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is currently under severe criticism at the Emirates Stadium
Celtic coach Brendan Rodgers has has finally broken his silence on news linking him with a move to Arsenal with the former Liverpool boss claiming that he is the man to get Gunners back into the Champions League.
The future of Frenchman Arsene Wenger at Arsenal is currently uncertain even though the ex Monaco boss has one more year left on his current contract.
Celtic boss Rodgers is one of the main candidates on the list of potential new bosses at the Emirates, if the club decide to ditch Wenger at the end of the season.
When Brendan Rodgers was asked about the speculation linking him to Arsenal, he feels his past successes make him the ideal man for the job at the Emirates.
"People will look at it and see that I went to Liverpool, they were struggling for five seasons for Champions League football and I was able to get them back.
"And when I came to Celtic, they hadn’t been in the Champions League for three seasons and I got them back.
"So maybe people are thinking – OK, Arsenal have been out of the Champions League and is that maybe the equation for someone like myself.
"I’m loving my life up here. I’m not going to be here forever, but I’m living in a dream. And dreams always come to an end at some point, that’s for sure." Rodgers was quoted to have said by UK Sun.

Meanwhile, Rodgers, Germany boss Joachim Low, Mikel Arteta and Thierry Henry are among the names understood to be on the list being considered by Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis.
This season, Arsenal are out of the EFL Cup and FA Cup, and they have no chance of winning the Premier League title. Their only hope of winning a trophy this term lies in the Europa League.
