- A Nigerian carpenter identified as Nnana Onoaku has landed in Ikoyi Prisons over the alleged murder of his wife. According to reports, the accused appeared before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for taking the life of his wife and purportedly dumping her body in the Lagoon.
The 45-year-old accused was said to have committed the act on February 15 at a late hour in at Oke-Eri in Oworonshoki, Lagos. He was said to have strangled his late wife, Iyabo Akinpelu to death and proceeded to dump her lifeless body in the Lagoon.
According to the prosecutor, Inspector Cousin Adams the body was found in the Lagoon with the deceased hands tied with a rope. He said: "Her body was found floating in the lagoon with her hands tied with a rope."

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs. A.O. Adegite, remanded the accused at the Ikoyi Prisons, pending an outcome of legal advice from the State Director of Public Prosecutions. Mrs Adegite adjourned the case to April 30.
Meanwhile, Police has filed murder charges against wife of former PDP chairman’s son.
