It is appalling how society degenerates women who aren't married and constantly remind them of how unfulfilled they are even when these women are contributing a lot to the society.
Like an excerpt from a novel written by Lola Shoneyin's book Secret Life Of Baba Segi's Wife, the society doesn't have patience with spinsters they spit them out.
Chioma Agwuegbo has taken to her Twitter to share how the society doesn't value hardworking women until they ascertain that she is married.
According to her, a woman will go all the way to achieve a lot for herself, make impact in the society and what matters to the society is to know if she is married.
An achievement from an unmarried woman isn't classified as enough hardwork, the hardwork lies only when the woman is already taken by a man.

According to Chioma, it is crushing to find out no one cares for what you are able to do just because you are single and yet unmarried.
She wrote: "You do brilliant work, hit milestones even you didn't think you would hit, and all that matters to people who should f*cking know better is that you're working too hard and you're not married. Absolutely crushing."
