Vocational education is considered is a significant part of studying process. Vocational education in Nigerian secondary schools is not an ordinary course, it is a way to develop the economic mindset of the younger generation and decrease the level of unemployment.
Professional skills play an essential role in personal and state development. Empowering youths with practical skills is very important because of the growing quantity of social issues and consequences of joblessness.
What is vocational learning? The Concept
Vocational education programs are considered as the development of previously liberal arts or study with an increased amount of technical areas to improve learners’ capacity for finding a good job.

The aim is to develop knowledge and skills to produce, construct, and improve certain practical tasks based in students.
Vocational studying becomes necessary because the traditional studying can’t fulfill the needs of a vastly increased number of professions that requires practical knowledge for gainful employment. Some scholars noted that unfortunately, secondary school graduates do not have such skills because of a low level of courses.
Practical abilities and skills in education come to the fore. If the student gets a real work experience in the profession, this greatly increases his or her chance to find a job. Vocational education means a foundation for the further development of the individual in society. This kind of education is especially relevant nowadays when a decrease in the number of specialists in various technical fields is observed.
Vocational education courses
At the upper basic studying level, vocationalisation is considered as pre-vocational integrated subjects, which includes studies of business, basic technology, and computer studies.
Nowadays, the vocational education policy has more prominences than in previous editions.
The issue of course content is a highly important question for effective vocationalisation. It is however observed that education as practiced in many countries of Africa, is often ineffective. This is because the course content is insufficient.

Qualitative vocational studying dependents on the competence of teacher and the competence can be measured in terms of theoretical and practical knowledge, technical and pedagogical skills.
Good job place is the ultimate aim of studying, the courses must be related to the job market in order to enhance its socioeconomic relevance.
Vocational studying requires adequate equipment for effective studying. Without adequate facilities, the young people will not be able to receive the envisaged skills.
Vocationalisation of education is a very viable course of empowering youths for getting well-paid job or self-employment. With these courses of the studying, we can achieve our goals in a short time and the issue of jobless people will be resolved.
