The Punch however reports that the party although confirmed that it passed a vote of confidence on the administration of President Buhari, it did not endorse him for another term.
Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi who is the spokesperson of the party said endorsing Buhari was not part of the discussion they had.
He said: “You will recall that the Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, addressed this issue while responding to a question on the issue of 2019 at yesterday (Tuesday’s) briefing when he said, the President has not said he wants to contest and that for now, his focus is on the issue of governance, so the issue of endorsing him (President) for a second term in 2019 did not arise.”
Meanwhile, President Buhari says the ruling APC stabilised the country. He said this at the the National Executive Committee meeting of the APC held at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja on 27th February 2018.
