Premier League club Southampton have sacked their manager Mauricio Pellegrino with just eight games to the end of the ongoing EPL season in England.
Southampton have not been impressive this season in the Premier League as they currently occupy 17th position on the League standings.
Mauricio Pellegrino is a retired Argentine footballer who was appointed as the coach of Southampton 9 months ago.
Southampton have won just one of their last 17 League games and slid down the table to fourth bottom leaving them just one point outside the drop zone with eight games to go.
On Saturday, March 10, Southampton were beaten 3-0 by Newcastle United, and the defeat was said to have masterminded the decision of the club to kick Pellegrino out.
Meanwhile, Southampton will now be looking for their fifth manager in four years ahead of their Sunday's FA Cup quarter final clash against Wigan.

There are reports that the club are considering hiring former Watford coach Marco Silva to be in charge of the Saints till the end of the season.
But the club have not made any official statement as regards the gaffer that will replace Mauricio Pellegrino.
