Super Eagles striker Chinedu Obasi has made a short loan move to Championship side Bolton Wanderers until the end of the season.
The former Lyn Oslo forward passed his trials and medicals conducted at the Manchester club and the Trotters have officially announced on their twitter handle for confirmation.

The short term contract is subject to extension based on performance at the end of the 2017/18 campaign.
Obasi spent eight colourful years in the German Bundesliga with spells with Hoffenheim and Schalke O4 from 2007 to 2015 but was plagued with injury in later parts of his career.
After Jay Jay Okocha and Blessing Kaku, the skillful striker will be the third Nigerian to play for the Manchester side.

The 31-year-old striker sparkled for the Nigerian team at youth level including the 2005 FIFA World Youth Championships in the Netherlands as the U-20 side finished second behind Lionel Messi's inspired Argentina.
In the 2008 Beijing Olympics, Obasi also played a big role in the Dream Team III silver medal winning side as the U-23 side lost again to Argentina in the gold medal match courtesy of Angel Di Maria's lone goal.

Obasi was also part of the bronze medal winning side at the 2010 Nations Cup tournament and registered a memorable strike in the 3-1 loss to Egypt in the first match.
The former Shenzen striker played a total of 29 matches for both senior and junior national teams respectively scoring seven goals in the process.
