- According to the group, there should be a rejig of the security structure in Nigeria to curb these incessant killings
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo group has called on the federal government to proscribe the Myetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN) over the continued killing by suspected herdsmen across various states in Nigeria.
The group also urged President Muhammadu Buhari and the federal government to ensure that the leaders of MACBAN are prosecuted.

A statement signed by Emeka Attamah, the special adviser to John Nnia-Nwodo on media and publicity said, the attacks in Plateau, Benue, Zamfara states among others are condemnable.
Sun reports that Attamah also called for a rejig of the present security leadership, stop further killings and appease the families and communities affected by the senseless killings across the country.

“If government could label IPOB a terrorist organisation, there is no reason the Miyetti Allah, the umbrella body of cattle herders, should not be proscribed and their leaders prosecuted,” Attamah said.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that Senator Shehu Sani had canvassed for the victims of the incessant killings in Nigeria to be buried close to the seat of power.
Sani made the suggestion on his social media page while reacting to the recent killings by suspected herdsmen.
The lawamker lamented that the government has failed to protect its citizens by allowing such killings to continue.
