Following the unprecedented death of Nigerian legendary musician, Ras Kimono who died on June 10, many have been in the mourning over the tragic loss in the entertainment industry. Reports claim that deceased died in an undisclosed hospital in Lagos at the age of 60.
Just recently, his family announced that the Under Pressure crooner is to be buried on August 25, where family and friends will gather to pay their last tribute as they send him off to the after life with prayers and best wishes.
The situation surrounding is untimely death still remains a mystery to many as the deceased was said to have allegedly collapsed at Muritala International airport, just as he planned on boarding a flight to the US.

The singer was immediately rushed to a hospital in Lagos but gave up the ghost few hours later. Although many fans are unaware of the specific cause of death, it is easy to believe the singer suffered a serious health issue that caused him his life.

In all, his legacy still lives on and though August 25 will be the day his physical body is buried, he will be remembered for his musical talent that emancipated souls.

The Nigerian reggae icon was born Austine Okeleke Onwubuya on May 9, 1958 and picked up his stage name when he launched his music career. The dread locked musician was a father who hailed from Aniocha north Local government area of Delta State.
Kimono released his first album Under Pressure on the Premier Music label in 1989. This propelled him to instant continental stardom. Other hit songs on the album included Under Pressure, and the massive Rhumba Style.
