The Sweden international is wanted by French League giants Olympique Lyonnais since as they continue to prepare for the coming season.
He joined the Red Devils from Benfica in 2017 in a deal valued at £31 million, but struggled for playing time at Old Trafford last summer.

The 24-year-old started just 13 games in the English topflight last term as he ranks behind Eric Bailly, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones in the pecking order.
Metro citing L’Equipe reports that Lyon are interested in signing Lindelof before the summer window closes.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils boss is said to be against the idea of allowing the central defender to leave United.
Despite his low-key start to his career at United, Lindelof impressed for Sweden at the World Cup this summer.

The centre-back has not yet joined up with his United teammates for their pre-season tour of the United States as he was given an extended holiday after Sweden reached the quarter-finals of the tournament in Russia.
NAIJ.com previously reported that Manchester United have completed the signing of Swedish defender Victor Lindelof for £31 million.
The former Benfica centre-back arrived at Carrington at the early hours of Wednesday, June 14, ahead of move to the Old Trafford side.
