Aston Villa are on the verge on convincing Chelsea legend John Terry to reject other club offers to sign for them in a deal worth £60,000-week (£3m-a-year).
According to reports from England, the former Chelsea captain is attracted by the prospect of helping Villa win promotion to the Premier League.

Swansea, Bournemouth and West Brom have all spoken to Terry but it seems he will link up with Villa who will give him an extra £2m if he can help lead them win promotion.

Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian also offered the 36-year-old a £10million-year contract but he is not swayed as he looks to continue his career in England.
Villa are prepared to offer him a basic package worth £3m for the year, with a £2m bonus if he helps them to promotion.

His contract will include clauses that will earn him more money depending on the number of games he plays in the Championship next season.
