A couple and their newborn triplets have been held hostage at a Lagos hospital after they were unable to pay their hospital bills.
Rasheed Jegede and Esther Jegede, parents to newborn triplets, are soliciting for funds to pay their medical bills in other to be released from the hospital.
NAIJ.com gathered that 37-year-old Rasheed is a furniture maker and his 31-year-old wife is currently unemployed.
The couple already have three children ahead of the newborn triplets who were born on Tuesday, June 6.

They require financial assistance not only to pay for N200,000 hospital bills but also to cater for their six children.

It was gathered that the mother is getting weaker by the day due to lack of food for herself and the struggle to breastfeed her newborn babies.
Esther asked Nigerians to come to the aid of herself and her family. She said:"My husband’s job does not provide enough food for the family. We are in dire need of financial assistance. This is why I am appealing to kindhearted Nigerians to come to our aid.”
