The former minister of finance in Nigeria Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on Tuesday, June 13, turned a year older and she decided to celebrate her new age abroad.
Okonjo-Iweala did not celebrate her birthday alone but with the members of the World Health Organization (WHO) and they all had a lovely moment.
The celebrant took to her Facebook profile on Wednesday, June 14, to gush about herself and her birthday by posting several pictures of the party with the caption: “June 13. Celebrating my birthday with Dr Flavia Bustreo of WHO, Mr Bill Roedy and other members of the Gavi Board in Geneva.”

The former minister could be seen in her usual African outfit and her signature head gear, standing beside her birthday cake and taking pictures with some members of the WHO.

Okonjo-Iweala served two terms as the finance minister of Nigeria and was one time the managing director of World Bank between the years 2007 to 2011. She currently chairs the Board of Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) and the African Risk Capacity (ARC).
