- Ex Manchester United assistant coach Carlos Queiroz has made a baffling claim that FIFA should ban Lionel Messi
- The Portuguese football manager stated that he wants Lionel Messi to prove that he is really human due to his excellent display in football
Former Manchester United assistant manager Carlos Queiroz had told world football governing body (FIFA) to ban Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi until it is proven that he is actually human.
Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are currently the best football stars in the world, and Queiroz who had two spells at Old Trafford as assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson does not believe human can do all what Messi is doing in football.
Carlos Queiroz led Iran to the 2014 World Cup where a last gasp Messi goal condemned his side to a 1-0 defeat to Argentina.
And he was so stunned by the Barca talisman’s goal that he wonders whether he could actually have extraterrestrial talents.
“I’ve always said that Messi is an extraordinary player. He’s out of this world.
“If he was human, he wouldn’t have had that magical moment in that match during Argentina’s last gasp defeat of Iran in 2014.
“I don’t usually like losing, but I didn’t come away from that defeat with a negative feeling.
“It’s when something magical like that happens that you know that football is alive and kicking. That’s why it’s one of the best sports in the world to watch.
“And it’s even more of a special moment when it comes from a player who shouldn’t be allowed to play by FIFA until it’s proven that he’s actually human,'' Carlos Queiroz was quoted to have said by Daily Star UK.
