- United manager Jose Mourinho sees him as a perfect replacement for Michael Carrick
- But United will face competition for his signing from Liverpool and Chelsea
Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly eyeing a mega million move for Kenyan international star Victor Wanyama who currently plays for Tottenham.
United are said to be looking for a long-term successor to Michael Carrick with the Spurs man on Jose Mourinho’s radar.
Wanyama's campaign in the Premier League has been affected by series of injury as the 26-year-old has only made 10 League appearances to date.
But despite that, Liverpool and Chelsea are also said to be interested in the signing of the big African star at the end of the ongoing League campaign according to report by Daily Star UK.
Betstars Director of Trading Ian Marmion said: “Manchester United are interested in bringing in Tottenham midfielder Victor Wanyama as a long-term replacement for outgoing central midfielder Michael Carrick.
''United are the standout favourites to sign Wanyama and we have them at 5/4 to complete this transfer.

.Victor Wanyama made the move to Tottenham from Southampton back in 2016 after the 26-year-old had enjoyed three successful seasons with Scottish giants Celtic.
