Manchester United star Matteo Darmian has married his long time girlfriend Francesca Cormanni in an incredible ceremony in Italy.

According to the report, the pair have been together since they were teenagers before they finally tied the knot in front of families and friends at a church in Rescaldina on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.

The ceremony caps a memorable week for Darmian who was part of the Italy team that beat Uruguay in a friendly on June 7 before thrashing Liechtenstein 5-0 in a World Cup qualifier in Udine.

While all appears to be going well for the 27-year-old on the international stage, Darmian's club future remains in doubt after a frustrating campaign with United last season.
