A memorial service has been held on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 in Beijing to honor former Ivory Coast international soccer star Cheick Tiote was passed on after a cardiac arrest.
The former Newcastle United star died in the hospital after collapsing on the pitch and efforts to resuscitate his life were futile.
Tiote, 33, was said to be expecting a new child before his untimely death, and his teammates at Beijing Enterprises have paid him last respect before his body will be flown to Ivory Coast for burial.
Tears were shed by family and friends at the emotional service for the father of three who played over 100 games in the Premier League for the Toon before moving to Asia.
