Arsenal defeated Bayern Munich 3-2 on penalties at the Shanghai Stadium in their first game of the International Championship Cup in China on July 19, 2017.
The Bundesliga side opened the scoring in the 9th minute when Robert Lewandowki slotted home from the spot after Arsenal's Maitland-Niles fouled Bernat in the box.
Alexandre Lacazette almost drew level in the 32nd minute but the Bavarians goalkeeper Tom Starke denied the Frenchman's effort after making a superb save.

The Gunners no. 1 Petr Cech produced some heroics as he denied the Bavarians the chance to extend their lead twice in the first half.

Cech also made some decent saves for the North London club in the second half before he was substituted in the 72nd minute.
Super Eagles forward Alex Iwobi equalized in the 90th minute as the game ended 1-1 at full-time which led to penalties.
