Eden Hazard has revealed that Chelsea legend Didier Drogba played a key role in him making a switch to Stamford Bridge in 2012.
The Belgian international joined the Blues from French club Lille as he admitted that a conversation with the Ivorian convinced him to make a move to the London club.

Hazard stated that his then teammate at Lille Gervinho was receiving a phone call from his compatriot Drogba before passing the phone to him and that the deal had nothing to do with club boss Roman Abramovich.

The 26-year-old said: "Didier Drogba called Gervinho, who was my team-mate at Lille. He insisted that Gervinho passed me the phone: 'I need to talk to Eden'."

"That was my last season in France. Didier said to me straight away: 'I want you to join Chelsea. A good club'."
"In the beginning I wasn't convinced by Chelsea. I only wanted to play Champions League football, but they'd finished outside the top four. Then Chelsea won the final and I didn't hesitate any longer," he added.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that Chelsea boss Antonio Conte signed a two-year deal that will keep him at the club till 2020.
