Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, inaugurated two new ministers into the Muhammadu Buhari cabinet.
The two ministers are Stephen Ocheni from Kogi and Suleiman Hassan from Gombe state who had been screened and confirmed by the Senate in May 3, but who had been waiting to join their colleagues ministers.
Premium Times reports that the ministers were inaugurated at the council chamber of the Presidential Villa just before the the weekly meeting of the Federal Executive council, FEC.

However, NAIJ.com reports that the two new ministers are yet to be given their portfolios.
While Ocheni replaces James Ocholi, former minister of state for labour, Hassan now takes the political place of Amina Mohammed, the former environment minister, who is now a top official of the United Nations.
Before the inauguration, Shehu Garba, the spokepserson of President Muhammadu Buhari, and Laolu Akande, that of Osinbajo had given two different positions on the development.

While Garba said the story that Osinbajo would inaugurate the two ministers was false, Akande said it was true and that it was decided after the spokespersons had addressed journalists.
While the argument went on, the two Ocheni and Hassan arrived Aso Rock, the Nigerian seat of power, for the inauguration.
