The issue of kidnapping does not seem to coming to an end soon. How can a fully grown man ever think of faking his own kidnap and demanding for a huge sum of money from his family members?
On Monday, July 3, the Lagos state police arrested one Ufom Udoh at Liverpool, Apapa for allegedly staging his own kidnap.
According to the command’s spokesperson Olarinde Famous-Cole, he revealed that Udoh’s younger brother, Victor, went to the police station to report that his elder brother was kidnapped by unknown men and they immediately started searching for him.

Udoh was later picked up and he confessed to the crime. He said he had checked into a hotel at Iyana-Ipaja area on July 3, where he spent three nights without food and water. The suspect said he later trekked to Ifo area in Ogun state, only to return to Lagos looking frail for his story to look convincing.”
