- Ex Arsenal star Nwankwo Kanu wants Vincent Enyeama to return to Super Eagles
- Kanu said he is ready to convince the former Enyimba goalie to make a return
- He is optimistic that Enyeama will listen to him and honor a call to the Eagles
Former Nigerian international Kanu Nwankwo has stated clearly that Vincent Enyeama's experience is still needed in the Super Eagles as Nigeria battle to qualify for the next African Cup of Nations and also the FIFA World Cup championship.
The former Enyimba stopper retired from the national team unceremoniously after having a bust up with former Super Eagles handler Sunday Oliseh.
Carl Ikeme who replaced Vincent Enyeama as the Super Eagles number one goalie has been diagnosed of leukemia and it is not yet known the time he will recover from the sickness.

Kanu Nwankwo who had a superb relationship with Enyeama during their playing days for the Super Eagles is now ready to convince him to make a return to the national team.
''Vincent is one of the best goalies in the world and the federation must do everything possible for them to bring him back to the Super Eagles.
''If Enyeama says he doesn’t want to come, people like us can talk to him, the federation too can talk to him. If a lot of people talk to him, I’m sure that definitely he will change his mind,'' the two-time African player of the year explained.
Meanwhile, it is now up to the Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr if he would call Enyeama back, but Enyeama's primary focus for now is how he will get a new club after being told by French club Lille to leave.
