Premier League giants Arsenal have been hit with a major blow ahead of the start of the 2017/18 League season as their striker Joel Campbell has been ruled out for six months.
NAIJ.com understands that the 25-year-old player was on international duty when he picked up the knock against Canada and it will now require surgery.
Campbell will now miss the rest of Costa Rica’s Gold Cup campaign and also throws his club career into doubt.

The Gunners have had Campbell out on numerous loan deals but this new injury could see his chances of moving again scuppered.
“We will see what the doctors say, but it is a pretty big tear and I will have to undergo an operation.
“It is complicated when you get injured like this, it keeps you out of competitions and from representing your country,'' Campbell explained.
