The ruling All progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday, September 27, announced the rescheduling of its governorship primary election.
A statement sent by the spokesperson for the party, Yekini Nabena said the party's National Working Committee rescheduled the governorship primaries to Sunday, September 30.
According to Nabena, subsequent elections for the party remain unchanged.

He said the Senate primaries will take place on Tuesday, October 2; the House of Representatives election will take place on Wednesday, October 3; the States' House of Assembly primaries to take place on Thursday, October 4, while the presidential/ national convention will hold on Saturday, October 6.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that the APC had approved both the direct and indirect mode of primaries for its governorship election.

The primaries for the governorship elections was earlier scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 29, in the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Also, Nabena in a statement said, the party’s NWC banned its Adamawa state working committee from participating either as delegates or to superintendent over the governorship primaries in the state.
