James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata ensured Real Madrid continued to stay in touch with Barcelona at the top of the La Liga table as Los Blancos defeated Granada.

The duo who have not been regular starters for Zinedane Zidane's men scored two apiece as Madrid won 4 - 0 at relegated Granada.

James' brace came inside the first 11 minutes against Tony Adams side, his first within two minutes and and his second a header from a cross from Fabio Contrao.

Morata's double came after the 30th minute mark after which Madrid took their foot off the gas with a Champions League tie to think of.
Madrid remain behind Barcelona in LaLiga by virtue of an inferior head-to-head record, but have a game in hand.

Zinedane Zidane's side has matches against Sevilla and Celta Vigo – both teams who have beaten Madrid men this season.
Meanwhile Barcelona were 4-1 winners against Villarreal earlier on the day as Lionel Messi scored a brace for the Catalans.
