Alleged photos of hundreds of northerners leaving Port Harcourt, Rivers state on Sunday, June 11, has hit the internet.
Recall that not long ago, Igbo people in the north were alleged to have been given three months to leave the region as the clamour for Biafra continues to gain momentum. The quit notice to all the Igbos in the region is coming from the Coalition of Northern Youths (CNY).
NAIJ.com learnt that the group also urged northern people in the south-eastern part of the country to immediately start moving back to their various states.
An update on this story by NAIJ.com regional reporter in Port Harcourt has confirmed seeing large numbers of northerners boarding commercial vehicles at a popular park along Ikwerre road.
But it remains uncertain if the mass exodus is connected to the quit notice issued by a Niger Delta group to northners to leave the south south following similar order by Arewa youth group.
