Weddings are the sort of things we can’t help ourselves from pouring over. We are mostly curious about things like who attended, who didn't, how did people dress, where was it. However, this time, we are mostly concerned about what the bride wore.
From the floating dresses in the 1910s, to the ballgowns in the 1950s, wedding dresses have changed significantly over the centuries. Although the classic white dress has continued to be a trend, these past few years have witnessed some brides breaking the norm and coming out in bolder colours and displaying a rather unconventional bridal fashion.

The year 2017 witnessed a lot of stylish weddings. And some of these dresses were more than just bridal dresses as these beautiful gowns would certainly stand the test of time to become one of the most iconic go-to examples when talking about a perfect wedding dress.
Although all the dresses were exceptionally gorgeous, we noticed some major wedding styles trended in 2017 which were the mermaid gowns, ball gowns and to add a bit of the "back in vogue flavour" is the sleeve trend which brides rocked stylishly.

Whether you believe in love or not, you've got to admit these dresses definitely look gorgeous and yeah, it has that jaw-dropping effect too. 2017 can certainly be described as the year for the bridal fashion revolution. Fashion designers like April by Kunbi and Style Temple and many others really brought their A-game this time around.
The beauty of this fashion revolution is the fact that a bride can walk into a bridal store and see an array of so many choices that fits her individuality which was not the case a few years ago as choices were streamlined to the basic idea of how everybody believed a wedding dress should look like.
If there is anything we've learnt from the year 2017 is the fact that brides have become bolder with dress choices and frankly, it has got us itching to see what remarkable dresses awaits us in the year 2018 and beyond.
