Manchester United’s Ashley Young has been charged with violent conduct following an incident in Saturday’s match against Southampton, the Football Association has announced.
Young, 32, appeared to strike Dusan Tadic of Southampton with an elbow in Saturday's 0-0 draw at Old Trafford.
The incident was not spotted by referee Craig Pawson and Young has until 5:00pm on Sunday to respond to the charge.

Mid-way through the second half of United's clash with Saints, Young had an altercation with Tadic.

As Southampton took a corner, Young was seen to make contact with the forward in what appeared to be a deliberate elbow to the midriff.
The England international has made the wing-back position his own this season, keeping the likes of Luke Shaw out of the side before moving over to the right-hand side to cover for the injured Antonio Valencia.
