- The Nigeria inflation has dropped marginally to 15.90% from 15.91%
- This is the 10th consecutive decline since January 2017
- Food and core inflation at 20.30% & 12.20% respectively from 20.31% and 12.14%
As the 2017 draws to an end, the Nigeria's inflation has once again dropped marginally from 15.90% from 15.91%.
According to a report by the Statistician General of the Federation and the CEO of the National Bureau of Statistics, Dr Yemi Kale, this drop in inflation is the tenth consecutive decline since 2017.
The month on month inflation rises to 0.78% from 0.76% while the Food and core inflation are at 20.30% & 12.20% respectively from 20.31% and 12.14%.
The urban index rose from 16.19% in October 2017 to 16.27 in November while the month to month inflation rises from 0.82% to 0.85%.

The rural index in November drops from 15.67% to 15.59% year on year while month of month, the inflation rises from 0.715 in October to 0.724% in November.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that a new report by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) stated that the Nigeria’s population is now 193,392,517 and there are about 11,547,236 vehicles in the country.
The report also claimed that more men fall victim of car accident than women and children as 72.0% of accident victims are men while women constitute 22.4% as male and female children account for 3.2% and 2.5%.
NBS also indicates that excessive speed was the leading cause of injuries for 6,803 victims involved in 2,478 road accidents during the third quarter of 2017 alone.
