A group of youths under the aegis of South Eastern Youth Movement for Atiku Abubakar have professed their support for the former vice president ahead of the 2019 presidential election.
The group, which was inaugurated in Awka, Anambra state on Monday, December 18, claimed to have raised an army of voters for Atiku in 2019.
The group coordinator, Maxwell Umeaba, while speaking during the group's first meeting said the group has a stronghold in the five southeastern states to garner enough support for the former vice president, This Day reports.

Umeaba said: “We have resolved to come together to take our destiny into our hands. We have raised army of voters in all the states in the South- east. Atiku’s defection to PDP is a welcome development towards reshaping the country and Nigerian youths believe in him and we will strongly support him.
“Atiku has managed many businesses successfully and he will manage the affairs of the state to give hope to the youths of the country."
The group said the former vice president was a tested hand, whose works during his reign as vice president distinguished him.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that the spiritual director of Adoration ministry Enugu Nigeria, Rev Father Ejike Mbaka, has said he had no link with former vice president Atiku Abubakar.
Father Mbaka expressed bitterness over a report which claimed he had declared support for Atiku’s presidential bid in 2019.
He said God has not spoken to him about Atiku, adding that those who were behind the lies would incur the wrath of God if they fail to apologise within seven days.
