Spanish giants Barcelona are reportedly lining up a move for Manchester United defender Daley Blind according to Madrid based newspaper Marca.
Barcelona have recently been hit with injury problems at the back specifically, Samuel Umtiti, arguably the standout defender in La Liga this season, is sidelined for several months.
With Javier Mascherano leaving the Nou Camp next summer, the 27-year-old will most likely be utilised as a ball-playing centre-back should he make the free transfer to Spain.

The former Ajax player will be out of contract with the Red Devil this summer and its not looking likely that the United hierarchy are ready to offer him a new contract.
Blind has fallen down the pecking order under Jose Mourinho this season though, and it is thought he could favour a move elsewhere.

However Ernesto Valverde is said to prefer a move for De Vrij, but he could face competition for his signature from several clubs.
