Cristiano Ronaldo won the Best Player of the Year award at the 2017 Globe Soccer Gala, which took place in Dubai.
The Portuguese player received this recognition for the second year in a row after another spectacular campaign in which he won the Champions League, LaLiga, European Super Cup, Spanish Super Cup and the Club World Cup with Real Madrid.

The forward also ends 2017 with 42 goals for his club side.

Cristiano who received the award from another legend of the game Italian Del Piero said: "It's a special moment for me. Receiving this award makes me very happy.
"Thanks to my teammates and my club. It's been an incredible year, I’ve won many collective and individual trophies. Thank you everyone."

The Globe Soccer Best Player award is added to a long list of prizes received by Cristiano this year. He has already been won The Best FIFA Men's Player, the UEFA Best Player in Europe Award, European Sportsperson of the year and the Ballon d’Or.
The Real Madrid attacker beat off competition from teammate Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Buffon, Paulo Dybala, Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé.
