The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reacted to reports that operatives of the commission fired shots in the home of the chairman of Innoson Motors, Innocent Chukwuma during his arrest.
The anti-graft agency also debunked reports that officers assaulted the family of the Innoson motors boss during his arrest.

The industrialist was arrested on Tuesday, December 19, following his alleged refusal to respond to invitations by the commission, after initially being granted administrative bail.
EFCC in a series of tweets on Thursday, December 21, said: "It's NOT true. EFCC operatives acted with decorum and civility. No one was manhandled or assaulted by the EFCC team, and not a single shot was fired, despite the provocation."

In a previous report by NAIJ.com, a number of youths have eagerly gathered at the Enugu airport to await the return of the chairman of Innoson Motors, Innocent Chukwuma, Channels TV reports.
Youths were seen on Thursday, December 21, carrying placards with various inscriptions such as: “Our hero is back, “our Senate is working”.
