A former governor of Kogi state Ibrahim Idris has reacted to the panel of inquiry set up by governor Yahaya Bello to probe his administration and that of former governor Idris Wada
Daily Trust reports that Idris on Thursday, December 14, described the Bello’s anti-corruption fight as mere chasing of shadows.
The former governor made this known in Lokoja during the 70th birthday celebration of Stephen Olorunfemi, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state.

According to him, ''The governor Bello-led government had failed to meet the yearnings of Kogi people who had expected so much from him at the inception of his government.
“We have learnt from our past mistakes and we now know how to arrange our plates and calabashes together so they don’t brake again.’’

Idris also said the PDP had learnt from its mistakes and would work hard to take over power come 2019.
The former governor also said with the peaceful conduct of the PDP national convention, the party was becoming stronger, adding that those who left were already coming back.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that the state governor Bello lauded President Buhari for removing the Nigeria's economy from the woods of corruption and corruption-driven recession.
Governor Bello made this known in Lokoja through his director general media and publicity Kingsley Fanwo.
