Everton and former Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has given away three cheques for a total of £750,000 in donations to children's charities just few days before Christmas.
The 32-year-old Englishman personally delivered the cheques worth £250,000 each to Claire House Children’s Hospice, Alder Hey Children’s Charity and the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children in Liverpool.
Rooney also met the children and their families at the three charities where he took many photos with them and staffs who work at the centers.

According to the report by UK Sun, the donation was made possible through Wayne Rooney's own charity foundation.

Earlier this year, Wayne Rooney was also said to have donated £100,000 to the victims of the Manchester bombing.

Previously, NAIJ.com had reported how former England and Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney was banned from driving for two years after pleading guilty to a drink driving charge.
The 31-year-old was stopped while driving a woman's black Volkswagen Beetle in Wilmslow, Cheshire, at 2am on September 1, 2017.
