The entire football world are currently celebrating the success of former AC Milan striker George Weah who is the only African footballer that won the FIFA Ballon d'Or following his victory as the next President of Liberia.
Weah defeated Joseph Boakai who has been the country's vice president for the last 12 years in the electoral run-off held on Wednesday, December 27.
Footballers especially those who have made it to the zenith of their careers are known to be famous considering how rich they are, the cars they drive and gigantic mansions they live in.

Former Arsenal star Kanu Nwankwo is also one of the ex Super Eagles players who made millions during his active playing days. Known as 'Papilo', Kanu was known for his superb goal-scoring sense which helped him to win the African best player of the year award twice in 1996 and 1999.

3. Segun Odegbami
Born on August 27, 1952, Segun Odegbami is a retired Nigerian footballer who played as a forward. He's nicknamed Mathematical for his precise style of play and was also famous for running down the touchline with the ball to prevent opponents from getting it.

4. Daniel Amokachi
Daniel Amokachi is a Nigerian former professional footballer and former assistant manager of the Nigeria national football team. He has been a technical director since 2006. With World Cup performances, he was third in the African Footballer of the Year award three times.

6. Joseph Yobo
Joseph Phillip Yobo is a former Nigerian professional footballer who played as a center back and was the captain of the Nigerian national team known as the Super Eagles until his international football retirement in June 2014.

7. Taribo West
43-year-old Taribo West is a Nigerian former professional footballer who played as a defender and he is best remembered for his various unusual and colorful hairstyles during his active playing days.
The former Inter Milan man is currently into pastoral work.

Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how George Weah who is a former international football star from Liberia was finally declared winner of the electoral run-off in the country after beating his opponent, Joseph Boakai.

Weah will now succeed Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Africa's first elected female president in Liberia's first democratic handover after civil war.
The report quoted the National Elections Commission (NEC) as saying on Thursday, December 28, Weah had won 61.5 percent of the vote while Boakai was far behind with 38.5 percent.
