Nigerians react to statement of Islamic scholar who said men without beards look like women

A Turkish Islamic scholar Murat Bayaral has come out to reveal that all men must learn to keep their beards as it makes them look good and act like a man.

Bayaral while speaking with Hurriyet Daily disclosed that the beards is one of the body parts that separates men from women.

The Islamic scholar further said that if anyone sees a man with long hair from afar and he is without beards, one will think he is a woman.

He said: “Men should grow beards. One of the two body parts that separate men from women is the beard. For example, if you see a man with long hair from afar you may think he is a woman if he does not have a beard because nowadays women and men dress similarly. God forbid! You could be possessed by indecent thoughts.”

However, this statement did not go down well with some Nigerians as they have taken to NAIJ.com’s Facebook profile to pen down their opinions.

One Samuel Thomas Tizhe said: “So wat u r telling us is that we that don't have beard create indecent thought in other men, u r a complete mugu for saying such. That is why u keep on growing beard like matured he GOAT.”

Also Mozes Iyke disclosed that: “There is sense in it even in the Bible when David sent some Israelites to a condolence visit to the king of Amon who just lost his father a friend of David and formal king the cabinets of the king told the king that the Israelites are spy's that they did not come to sympathise with them as they said rather they are spy's for that reason they were beaten up and their beards where shaved when David got this message he ordered them to stay at Jericho until their beards grows back for those who don't have it's not bad but if you have don't shave it make it your look thank you.”
