The group described Okorocha’s statement as disrespectful, The Nation reports.
“That was a very rude statement. He was not talking about a non-entity, he was talking about the national leader of the ruling political party, his own party. A man that commands over 20 million followers across the country," the FOBAT chairma, Ayodele Fadeyi, said on Thursday, December 14.
He accused the governor of wanting to use Bola Tinubu to seek political relevance.
“It is too late for anyone to climb on Asiwaju’s back unless you want to break it. Those of us who know his worth will never allow that to happen,’’ he said.

Meanwhile, All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has denied accusation by Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, that he claimed governors are irrelevant to party's nomination.
The controversy between the duo started after Tinubu said APC governors are not in position to give their consent to President Buhari to run unopposed in 2019.
Okorocha, however, interpreted that to mean an insult on governors in the party, who shows their support for the president ahead of 2019.
