- From January 29 to February 19, 33 ships filled with petroleum products and food items would arrive at the Apapa and Tin Can Island Ports
- Seven of the ships would contain the petroleum products while the remaining 26 would contain various food items
- Out of the total number, six ships have already arrived at the ports and are currently waiting to berth
Thirty three ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive Apapa and Tin Can Island Ports in Lagos from Monday, January 29 to Monday, February 19.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its publication, “Shipping Position”, a copy of which was made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.

NAIJ.com gathers that it explained that seven of the expected 33 ships would sail in with petrol.
NPA said that 26 other ships contain buck wheat, frozen fish, soya beans, rig, bulk fertiliser, bulk sugar, empty containers, diesel and containers laden with goods.
The document indicated that six ships had arrived the ports waiting to berth with bulk fertiliser, containers, lubrication oil and petrol.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that the Senate committee on petroleum downstream blamed the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) for the current fuel scarcity across the country.
Chairman of the committee, Senator Kabiru Marafa, made the statement in Gusau, Zamfara state during an assessment of the fuel situation in the country.
Marafa, who was accompanied by a member of the committee, Senator Abdullahi Danbaba, said the inspection was part of the assignment given to the committee by Senate president Bukola Saraki.
