- Englishman Marcus McGuane has completed a move to Barcelona from Arsenal
- Lack of active playing time at the Emirates Stadium forced him out of the club
English professional football star Marcus McGuane has completed a move to Spanish club Barcelona from Premier League giants Arsenal.
The 18-year-old defensive midfielder only made two first team appearances for the Gunners before completing his move to the Catalan giants.
Lack of active playing time at the Emirates Stadium forced the Englishman out of the Gunners, and there were even reports that Scottish side Rangers wanted him.
Marcus McGuane has progressed through the ranks of the Arsenal academy after joining at the age of six.
The midfielder played for the senior team against Red Star Belgrade and BATE Borisov in the Europa League championship.
Meanwhile, Marcus McGuane is not expected to be missed at Arsenal as the Gunners' concentration now is how they will sign Gabonese striker Pierre Aubameyang.

Aubameyang has arrived England and he is expected to have his medical on Wednesday, January 31 before the official announcement.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how a private jet from Germany carrying Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang touched down at Luton Airport.
The Gabonese star is en-route to the UK to complete his £58m move to Arsenal, and he has been pictured at the Gunners' London Colney training base.
Aubameyang is expected to wear the number 7 jersey at Arsenal.
