Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that the reported naming of President Muhammadu Buhari as the AU anti-corruption champion was described as ‘Africa’s joke of the year’ by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The party in a statement released on Monday, January 29, by its national publicity secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, insisted that the honour was laughable because the African Union was not aware of the series of alleged corrupt activities recorded under the Buhari administration so far.
It accused the federal government of trying to use the honour conferred on Buhari to laud its dented image.
