A chieftain of the PDP Chichi Obi on Sunday, January 28, in Lagos state declared that a former vice president Atiku Abubakar remains the best alternative for the 2019 presidency.

Daily Trust reports that Obi also said Atiku was the only presidential hopeful the APC was afraid of 2015, saying without him, the ruling party would simply go to bed because 2019 would be a no-contest.

The chieftain who is the national coordinator of Atiku House to House (AH2H) group, noted that that she knew Atiku since 1980’s and was convinced that he (Atiku) had the solutions to the myriad of the country’s challenges.
INEC warned Atiku and governor Mohammed Jibrilla Bindow against erecting campaign billboards. The duo were warned by the electoral commission, that their actions have contravened the Electoral Act.
The development was disclosed by Kassim Gaidam, INEC Resident Commissioner for Adamawa state, who spoke at a stakeholders meeting in Yola on Friday, January 26.
Gaidam stated that Atiku and Bindow are engaging in massive campaign billboards ahead of the scheduled time for campaigns for the 2019 elections.
