The chief of Air Staff, Air Marshall Sadiq Abubakar, has charged officers of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) not to be distracted by malicious campaigns from individuals, who are bent on creating anarchy in the country.
The Air Force boss gave caution on Saturday, January 28, at the NAF first quarter 2018 route march exercise for personnel serving in the Federal Capital Territory, The Sun reports.

Abubakar reminded personnel of their constitutional duties of ensuring the peace, unity and stability of the country. He urged them to stay away from those trying to destabilize the nation.
“Our personnel should not be distracted by what is happening in the country when all-sorts of campaigns that are not too useful in my opinion are going on.
“Our role is clearly defined; therefore, we must remain focused on that as provided for in the constitution of the country, which is to ensure the unity, stability and territorial integrity of the nation," he said.

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is set to build a Forward Operational Base (FOB) each in Cross Rivers and Akwa Ibom states respectively.
This was announced by the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar on Saturday, January 28.
He stated that the FOB in Mubi, Adamawa state would be activated while an annex of Headquarters Mobility Command would be established in Akwa Ibom state.
While addressing participants at the end of the exercise, the CAS commended personnel for demonstrating a high level of physical fitness, stating that today’s security challenges are very complex and require a sound mind in a sound body.
